Katie’s Dreamy Maternity Session

It's all about the colour green, nature and Katie's love for both! 🌿

Location: Various locations in the Blue Mountains

This maternity session was always going to be amazing. When Katie said she wanted a garden type location or something in the Blue Mountains, I'm not gonna lie, I went into a deep research mode to find pregnant-friendly garden/mountainous locations we could visit in the space of a 1 hour maternity session. After lots of discussion and planning we picked two locations in close proximity to each other; one gardenesque, one mountainesque.

Our first location was an absolute hit even though we had a time crunch (and a lady yelling at us every few minutes). Josiah and Katie so easily created a space of there own in this location, and to our surprise we found a place that so beautifully complemented Katie in this season - a plethora of blooming anemones! 😍

However our second location, despite its beautiful, proved too treacherous to walk to no matter what track we took. To our astonishment, we found a third location not far from the second. The view was just as beautiful and as an added bonus, we saw Katie's favourite flower of all, the flannel flower.

Moral of the story: Despite meticulous planning and collaboration (don't always trust google reviews to be maternity-friendly), the best photoshoots involve a hint of serendipity and a whole lot of laughs.

Did I mention my shoe sunk in a cathole while on location? 🥴 Maybe that's another story for another day.
